Chilton Middle School Counseling

Building positive relationships and finding students' individual gifts are at the heart of the Chilton Middle School Counseling Program. Student learning and individual student success are our ultimate goals for each student.  Rigor, relevance and relationships are at the heart of student achievement, our counseling program, and a successful middle school. Our school counseling program's design, delivery system, and content focuses on enhancing the ability of all students to utilize the educational opportunities available to them, and includes state and national standards for our guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services and system support.  For a detailed look at the services provided by Chilton Middle School Counseling department please click the "Curriculum and Services" link on the top.

Our school counseling program addresses three domains: academic development, personal/social growth, and career development. As a comprehensive school counseling program, we focus on what all students should know, understand, and be able to do within these domains in order to develop into contributing members of our society. Our school counseling program provides and supports the delivery of specific skills and information in a proactive, preventive manner to ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve school success. Additionally, our school counseling program serves to provide intervention and referral services for those students who are experiencing difficulties in their lives which interfere with their academic achievement.

As students attempt to navigate through the often turbulent

middle years of their development, they especially need the

support and structure from a caring team of educators.  My

professional journey has led me to a firm belief in collaboration

and communication in order to best serve our students.

"Together we are better."
